Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution formulated for injectable use. It contains 0.9% (9 mg/mL) benzyl alcohol, which serves as a bacteriostatic preservative to inhibit microbial growth. The solution is provided in a multi-dose vial, allowing for multiple withdrawals when used to dilute or reconstitute injectable medications.
